Ricoh Europe and Flora announce EMEA partnership

Commercial printers and sign and display specialists will enjoy greater production flexibility and versatility following today’s announcement of Ricoh’s official partnership with Flora Digital.
Ricoh Europe has formalised its relationship with Flora Digital, a prominent flatbed and large format digital inkjet manufacturer, with a strategic partnership agreement. This will focus on expanding and diversifying Ricoh Europe’s product portfolio with highly responsive and agile large format systems for the graphics arts, interior décor, and industrial markets.

Following the positive feedback and orders of Ricoh’s UV flatbed series, and the continuing market demand for flexible UV hybrid devices for sign and graphics applications, we wanted to explore how Ricoh technology could be combined with Flora’s manufacturing expertise to create responsive, versatile solutions that meets today’s market demands. We look forward to expanding our offering with systems that combine both parties’ technical knowledge and expertise to support clients as they evolve their large format capabilities.”
Work is underway on the first portfolio addition to be developed under the new agreement. The compact-footprinted flatbed hybrid printer will be powered by Ricoh printhead technology, ColorGATE RIP software and ICC profiles. It will be able to run rigid and flexible media up to two metres wide on substrates ranging from PVC banners to vinyl and rigid boards while its linear motor technology will enable consistently high print quality and productivity. Support will be provided by Ricoh’s professional EMEA sales and service network.
New systems developed together by Ricoh and Flora will join Ricoh’s existing portfolio that includes the RICOH Pro™ T7210 and RICOH Pro™ TF6251 UV flatbed printers, and RICOH Pro™ L5160e and RICOH Pro™ L5130e large format latex printers.
