Display panels with secret-til-lit effects for household appliances are potential applications for NoriGlass OR. The inner frame and the Proell logo are decorated with the high glossy Mirror Ink M3 N.

The glass displays are second surface printed with highly opaque black. Additionally, a screen printed secret-til-lit effect is included by printing semi-transparent inks. A printed 3D effect is included as well.

The glass substrate is second surface printed with Mirror Ink M3 N, partial back printed with NoriGlass OR 930 Titanium White, NoriGlass OR 093 Pearlescent Effect and NoriGlass OR IR-transparent black.

NoriGlass OR 960 highly opaque black is used for the opaque frame. The display area is printed with a translucent adjusted version of NoriGlass OR 960.

2. NoriGlass TP

  • NoriGlass TP is a glossy silicone and halogen free glass screen printing ink.
  • The ink has been developed for the second surface decoration of glass, particularly for symbols of touch switches and for backlit displays, e.g. smart phone and tablet displays.
  • This organic enamel ink provides very high resistance to aqueous household cleaners, hand and machine dishwashing detergents as well as to chemicals and solvents like aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, greases and oils.
  • Besides its excellent resistances, the ink system shows low electrical conductivity, even the black color shades. Highly opaque deep black or brilliant white color shades are available from stock.

3. Hydro-Glass FG – wasserbasierte 2K-Siebdruckfarbe für Flachglasanwendungen

Hydro-Glass FG is a new water-based two-component screen printing ink for the reverse-side printing of flat glass. The newly developed ink system offers very good printing properties; in particular, its long screen open time is remarkable for a water-based screen printing ink. The printed glass can be cured at 120 °C to achieve good resistance properties. A complete range of basic color shades is available. The transparent shades are characterised by good ink flow and attractive brilliance. The high-opacity white and black color shades provide good opacity even in a single print.

4. Aqua-Temp SIG L 68742 Protective Lacquer

  • Aqua-Temp SIG is a new water-based stoving lacquer for glass decoration. The screen printing lacquer can be used for second surface printing of decorated glass panels and displays for household appliances.
  • The water-based two-component ink shows excellent printability and good screen opening properties.
  • Aqua-Temp SIG is based on organic binding agents and is formulated user-friendly without solvents.
  • The printed and stoved ink layers show excellent resistances towards chemical cleaners and solvents.
  • Protective Lacquer L 68742 has been developed as final overprinting lacquer. The stoved screen printing lacquer shows excellent scratch resistances, comparable with hard coated surfaces. Subjacent ink layers are perfectly protected during the mounting process, e.g. glass panels for refrigerators.
  • The protective lacquer can also be used for overprinting of solvent-based ink systems (not yet stoved) such as NoriGlass OR, NoriGlass TP and ZK-Two-Component Ink.

5. TF-QuickChange Screen System

  • The original TF-QuickChange Screen System is an efficient, versatile and cost-effective screen system for printing thermo plastic inks on glass hollowware.
  • The TF-QuickChange system consists of a custom-made aluminum self-stretching frame and a prefabricated mesh/screen, which can be mounted easily on the frame.
  • The system is suitable for all screen printing machines, including linear or rotary multi-color machines and single color machines and for printing any cylindrical, conical, flat or oval products. The high precision and stability of the frames guarantees excellent printing results and long print runs.
  • Due to screen heating up to 95° C thermoplastic glass enamels, cold paste enamels, thermoplastic organic inks and the new generation of UV inks can be processed.
