Global Graphics software will be showcased at Fespa 2023. SmartMedia technology creates a library of predefined media definitions describing all the settings needed to get perfect color and quality.
Global Graphics Software, developer of innovative components for digital printing and subsidiary of Hybrid Software Group, will showcase its new SmartMedia™at Fespa 2023, (Hybrid Software Group Stand B2-B55). SmartMedia is a suite of components that simplifies the process of obtaining the best quality and color output from a digital press. It is available with SmartDFE™, the full software and hardware stack that adds print to the fully automated smart factory.
Powered by the patented PrintFlat™ and enhanced with powerful color tools from sister company ColorLogic GmbH, SmartMedia packages all the OEM’s reference press settings for each media and ink set into a library of media definitions and, via a wizard-like experience, enables press operators to easily select the appropriate media and ink set combination without needing specialist knowledge.
Tom Mooney, product manager at Global Graphics Software explains:“We launched SmartMedia to make it easy for press operators who are not color experts to get great color from their digital press. We have worked with ColorLogic to further integrate their technology to reproduce spot colors accurately and easily using extended gamut or 7-color printing. This is particularly important for print applications such as textiles and packaging where reproducing color accurately from the original artwork is key.”
SmartDFE is designed to be part of a fully automated manufacturing solution supporting Industry 4.0 telematics and MIS integration, plus connectivity with automated manufacturing lines via OPC UA, the open standard for information exchange for industrial communication. It has been co-developed using components from other Hybrid Software Group companies including HYBRID Software’s STEPZ®, the native PDF job creation solution for pre-press and VDP, and CLOUDFLOW® providing advanced workflow automation. SmartDFE also includes support for Meteor Inkjet’s industry-leading printhead electronics and software.
Global Graphics Software will be exhibiting with Meteor Inkjet, developer of industrial inkjet electronics, software, tools and services.
