SmartDFE connects print to auromated manufacturing lines. Global Graphics Software gives live demos of the smart digital front end (DFE) showing how print integrates into production lines
At InPrint Munich, 15th - 17th March 2022, Global Graphics Software (stand 2564) will be presenting SmartDFE™, a full software and hardware stack that adds print to the fully automated smart factory. Co-developed by Hybrid Software Group companies – ColorLogic, Global Graphics Software, HYBRID Software, Meteor Inkjet and Xitron - SmartDFE provides everything needed to add print to an industrial production environment. It supports Industry 4.0 telematics and MIS integration and includes connectivity with automated manufacturing lines via OPC UA.
SmartDFE brings together the creation of optimised print-ready PDF files; workflow and job automation to connect with enterprise IT systems; RIPping; screening; optimised image quality; and, via Harlequin Direct™, it drives the print data directly to the printheads at blistering speeds through Meteor software and electronics, or through Xitron’s Navigator DFE platform. It meets the need for fully variable data, gives complete control of the print workflow, and provides valuable information for QA and inspection, press maintenance, and stock control.
In addition, the company will be showing Harlequin® and ScreenPro™, the fastest RIP and screening technology in the market.
A conference runs alongside the exhibition and Global Graphics Software’s VP of products and services, Eric Worrall, will be presenting: ‘A smart factory needs a smart digital front end’ at 15:50 hrs on Wednesday, 16th March 2022.
